Privacy Policy
Your privacy is fundamental to how MushTools is built. This policy explains what data we collect (almost nothing) and how we operate.
Data Collection
MushTools does not collect, store, or transmit your data. Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you paste JSON into the formatter, type text into the Base64 encoder, or generate a password, that data is processed locally on your device and is never sent to any server.
We do not use cookies to track your activity. We do not require accounts or sign-ups. We do not sell or share any user data because we do not have any to begin with.
Analytics
If we add analytics in the future, it will be privacy-respecting and limited to aggregate, anonymized metrics such as page views and tool usage counts. We will never track individual users, their input data, or their browsing behavior across sites.
Third-Party Services
MushTools is hosted on a static hosting provider (such as Cloudflare Pages or GitHub Pages). Your interaction with the site is between you and the hosting provider. The hosting provider may log standard request metadata (IP address, request time) as part of their normal operations, but MushTools itself does not access or control this data.
Aside from the hosting provider, MushTools does not integrate with any third-party services for core functionality.
Your Browser, Your Data
Because all processing happens client-side, you can verify this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools and inspect the Network tab while using any tool. You will see that no data requests are made when you interact with the tools.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the date below and update this page. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed.
