Analogous Color Scheme

Generate a harmonious analogous color scheme from any base color. Analogous colors are adjacent to each other on the color wheel (typically 30° apart), creating serene and comfortable designs with natural harmony.

What is an analogous color scheme?

An analogous color scheme uses three colors that are adjacent to each other on the color wheel. This creates a harmonious and cohesive palette that is pleasing to the eye and often found in nature.

  • Three colors — the base color plus two neighbors at -30° and +30° on the color wheel.
  • Serene and comfortable — low contrast creates a calming effect.
  • Naturally harmonious — colors blend smoothly together.
  • Easy to use — pick one dominant color and use the others as supporting tones.
